Seminar flyer including booking form
Course programme
Seminar: Now Booking

This seminar aims to set out the process to develop and implement a zero and low emission vehicle strategy for Local Authorities, with a particular focus on electric vehicles and infrastructure. The forthcoming introduction of Clean Air Zones and increased public awareness of the health impact of emissions from older diesel vehicles has generated a noticeable shift from the purchase of diesel to electric vehicles during last few years. This brings both a challenge and an opportunity for Local Authorities to be proactive in shaping this change in vehicle technology and the benefits it can bring. The introduction to the seminar will include setting out the national policy and strategy background for ULEVs, and how this can support a regional and local strategy. Further sessions will cover an understanding of ULEV and zero emission technologies, how these can be integrated into to vehicle fleets, planning an effective recharging infrastructure and working with local business and other key stakeholders to get a cohesive strategy to support change. Delegates will gain a robust understanding of the issues to be considered and discussion will include examples of LA EV strategies and action plans
