This seminar will cover the periodic monitoring methods and techniques to be taken into account when: setting emissions control conditions in Pollution Prevention and Control permits, and for demonstrating compliance with them. We will: provide delegates with a comprehensive introduction to air emissions monitoring; identify the measurement and sampling techniques to use; identify the standards to apply; identify the quality assurance and control schemes used; and describe how to ensure that monitoring has been undertaken suitably and reported correctly. On completion of the seminar attendees will: • Appreciate the principles of measuring emissions to air and understand what is representative sampling; • Understand the differences between manual and instrument monitoring techniques; • Understand the fundamental guidance and standards that govern emissions monitoring and appreciate the quality assurance aspects of monitoring for regulatory compliance.
