EMAQ is pleased to offer Odour Sensitivity Testing service to assess your individual odour sensitivity (or acuity) to n-butanol. Testing is conducted in close accordance to the method prescribed in the European Standard BSEN13725:2003 to choose odour panellists. This is the method reference by DEFRA in Appendix 4 to the “odour guide for local authorities”. The process of Odour Sensitivity Testing usually takes no more than three hours, and the result will allow you to compare your personal odour sensitivity with the population average. On completion of the Odour Sensitivity Test, we will provide you with a certificate demonstrating your participation and your compliance (or otherwise) with the performance criteria set in the European Standard BSEN13725:2003. Delegates participating in the Odour Sensitivity Test will be part of the continuing professional development (CPD) activities. Delegate wishing to participate will receive further instructions nearer the time concerning eating, drinking, smoking and waring perfume/deodorant etc. on the day of the test.
