The purpose of this Seminar is to provide an understanding of Air Quality Impact Assessments with regard to development planning applications and how to interpret these types of assessments provided by developers and consultants. The seminar will focus on air quality impact assessments provided in support of a planning application or within environmental impact assessments (EIA), planning law, plus air quality and planning guidance as well as local policies. We will provide example planning application air quality assessments and present some case studies throughout the day. This will allow air quality professionals to better understand air quality assessments and so be able to provide critical reviews of assessments and make recommendations for planning conditions and/or mitigation options. During the day we will also cover how air quality impact assessments are undertaken, look at construction and demolition mitigation, construction environmental management plans, NRMM, CIL and section 106’s plus guidance on CHP, Biomass and STOR applications.
