The webinar will examine the control measures available for the Clean Air Act 1993. The webinar will explain Clean Air Act controls on Smoke Control Areas, dark smoke emission, furnace installation, 'grit and dust' emission limits and, chimney height approval to prevent emissions from causing nuisance or impacting health. We will explain context of why the Clean Air Act remains relevant for small combustion activities and in particular residential wood and solid mineral fuel use. Recent changes in the regulatory controls around smaller combustion plant (Ecodesign and Medium Combustion Plant) will be described and, the proposed changes around residential solid fuels from the Clean Air Strategy and recent announcements on coal and wet wood bans.
