The purpose of this webinar is to ensure that delegates have the knowledge to carry out a review and assessment of air quality at an appropriate level and to the timescales required. It will introduce attendees to the information, tools, and practice needed. We will introduce modelling techniques that can be used to characterise impacts from road traffic and point sources, and show how these can be implemented for LAQM. The declaration of air quality management areas will be examined and examples of good practice will be used to illustrate how best to do it. The webinar stands alone but can be also undertaken as the third module of the new EMAQ ‘Essentials of LAQM’ course - a structured programme of training leading to the Certificate in Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) - which is accredited by the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM).
